DAY 1: FES - IFRANE - AZROU - MIDELT - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA DESERT

Out To Morocco Tours driver will take you up from your riad and we will drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, which is a very gorgeous section of the globe. This section of our tours will occupy the majority of the day, winding through lovely verdant forests, through jagged rock walls, and into Berber settlements. You'll then make your way into the Sahara desert, pausing for lunch halfway in Midelt, a town known for its stunning stones and historic fossils.

Continuing on magnificent mountain roads overlooking the meandering Oued Ziz, you and our Desert Tours team will pass past Kasbahs and palm groves on your way to the adobe-colored city of Er-Rachidia, arriving in the late afternoon at our goal of Merzouga. After some rest, our crew will assist you in mounting your own camel for a safe, gorgeous trek through one of the world's most stunning and unforgiving regions - the Sahara Desert. After around two hours of driving, you'll experience a desert sunset before setting your camp amid the Erg Chebbi dunes. This promises to be a memorable night as you sleep in a typical nomadic tent under a night sky filled with thousands of stars, accompanied by Berber music and cuisine provided by your guide.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA - TODRA GORGES - DADES GORGES

On the second day, you'll wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes before being brought back to Merzouga by camel by our tours staff. After breakfast, you'll travel to Erfoud and then on to the Todra Gorges. Along the way, you'll see nomads going about their daily lives. When you arrive, you'll have the opportunity to climb the 300-meter-tall gorges and get a bird's-eye perspective of the gorgeous river valleys. These similar valleys make for a beautiful drive as we move towards Morocco's southeast. Our desert tours then take you via Tamnalt Hill's unusual rock formations before arriving to Dades Gorges, where you'll spend the night.

DAY 3: DADES GORGES - OUARZAZATE - MARRAKECH

On the final day of our tours, your group will travel across the High Atlas Mountains to the medieval town of Ouarzazate. Off road for around 25 kilometers in your 4WD, you'll see caverns that have been home to nomadic cultures in the past and present before arriving in one of the world's most beautiful and aromatic cities.

You'll arrive in Morocco's Valley of Roses after passing through the Skoura palm oasis and Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou on the Road of One Thousand Kasbahs. Ouarzazate is known as the "Hollywood of Africa" because it is home to the roses that supply the bulk of the world's perfume needs, but it is also the location of innumerable blockbusters such as Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, and Gladiator. Before being dropped off at your riad or hotel in the afternoon, your tour crew will encourage you to explore the city and locate the hidden beauties.
